The best birthday ever!

A HUGE thanks to the best husband/friends/family every! I had a wonderful birthday weekend, but still can't believe I'm 30!

Saturday morning my friend Jen picked me up for a surprise weekend. We swung by Beth's house and they whisked me away. I knew that Beth had something planned, but couldn't have guessed what a wonderful trip we'd have! We headed north to Absolute Spa in Vancouver, BC where they had booked a triple rose cocoon, triple rose facial, full pedicure and full manicure for me. I've never been so pampered, exfoliated and moisturized in my life!! When we all finished with all of our services, the spa served us a yummy chicken salad. I was so relaxed I could barely eat! The surprises kept coming as we checked into an adorable boutique hotel in downtown, Hotel Le Soleil. We had a corner bedroom suite and just vegged and relaxed until our yummy dinner! We went to Caffe de Medici for a delicious dinner. I had the Gnocci with ground wild boar and gorgonzola (I'm sure it was pasteurized, right?). Delicious tiramisu for dessert and I was stuffed! I love grown up meals out. It snowed the entire time we were there and, combined with the adorable decorations everywhere, it was just magical!

Sunday we went to Zara, but thankfully I didn't fit into anything or else it would have been a VERY expensive trip. (BTW- There is a new line for "expectant mums", but the clothes are pretty much tiny with a little panel, not big enough for this preggers!). Getting home in the snow was a bit scary, but Beth was a champion driver. Thank goodness for the snow button on the infinity!

I really can't thank you girls enough, it was a wonderful time!! Thanks to Jeff for being a single parent for the weekend!

But the fun wasn't over! When we got home, my family (sisters, mom, grandpa, Rob and of course Atti and Jeff) was all there waiting to celebrate with me more! Thanks to everyone who battled the snow and rain to come and make my birthday special. I really am very lucky to have you all!
