Fourth of July

We had a wonderful 4th! Started out at Rachel's house for her annual bbq. A tradition for us! They definitely took it up a notch with a giant slip n slide in the front yard. People passing by on the street even pulled over to try it out. Rach made her famous homemade fried chicken, there was skittles-infused vodka and Penne's yummy beans! We ate well!

Later we watched the fireworks at Myrtle Edwards Park. FanTAStic!

We arrived home exhausted at 11:30 only to find our neighborhood completely under siege. There were dozens of people lighting fireworks in our area, many right next door in front of the empty lot. As we pulled in, fireworks were landing on our car roof. We decided that we needed to get out of there if we were to get any sleep at all. Luckily, Nana is only a phone call away! By the time we got there, she had beds all made up for us and cooked us a delish breakfast the next morning. Why don't we stay there more often?

All in all it was a great holiday. We deserved one after our horrible fall/winter holidays.

And bubble shot.

On the move!
