Stalling at bedtime

I know that most of you come to hear tidbits of info about my little sweeties, so I'll cut out the political talk and give up the good stuff!

Atticus continues to have a hard time going to bed. We think that he's scared of the dark when he closes his eyes (how the heck do you deal with THAT one??). Employing one of his favorite stalling tactics tonight, he asked the following questions:

  • How was the ballet? (I went almost 2 weeks ago with Grandpa...)
  • Where's Hawaii?
  • Does Maitri (a little girl from school) live in the ocean?
  • Follow up question when I answered that Maitri doesn't live in the ocean: But does she live in the sea?
I have a really hard time not indulging this stalling tactic. He's ADORABLE and I love seeing his mind work. I love having an almost-three-year-old. I agree with my mom that my favorite stage for each of my kids is the one they are in now.

Oh, and what was Hank doing while all this stalling was going on? Sleeping. In his crib. Like he had been for AN HOUR! I deserve that.

Emily, so fun to hear from you! I will also look forward to popping in on your blog! It's such a fun way to stay or re-connect with others and it's also helped me feel a little more "normal" when I feel like I'm going crazy as a mommy! You and Jeff have some adorable boys- and I love their names!
