I sucked it up and took Atti camping on the annual Meredith camping trip. Although notorious for disaster, catastrophe and minor head trauma, this year the camping trip went great. If you count staying up most of the night with a very upset toddler great. The day went really well. Atticus loves the outdoors, so camping is the best ever- you never have to go inside! It was hard to put Atti down (especially when it stays light so long) and he woke up 4-5 times SCREAMING.
The weather was good, though. Only a couple of minor bumps (Dad and Atti) and no one fell in any creeks, lakes, rivers or puddles!
The next day was good, too, but I've decided day trips are the rule for the rest of this summer, at least.

He is so adorable Emily! SO CUTE!!!! Glad that your camping trip turned out pretty well but sorry that you didn't get much sleep! It was good to hear though because we were thinking of taking Haley camping for her first time and well.....We'll see.

As you know I am not a big camper either... I told Jeff that our vacations must involve room service!
I don't love camping either . . . but you sure did get some cute pics! Now at least you can show Atti when he gets older and asks you why you never take him camping!! He is adorable!
Jeff didn't go on this trip, but Amanda's hubby did.
Next time, I'm renting a cabin!
